Five Democratic campaign staffers who allegedly slashed the tires of 25 Republican get-out-the-vote vans on Election Day in Milwaukee will stand trial on felony charges. The defendants, who include the sons of a congresswoman and former acting mayor, face a maximum three and a half years in prison and a $10,000 fine if convicted of vandalism. The vans were rented by the GOP to drive voters to the polls.
WASHINGTON - Howard Dean promised cheering supporters Wednesday night he would harness their energy to lead the Democratic Party back to power in the halls of Congress and the White House by 2008. Dean then added "We're going to South Dakota, and Oregon, and Washington, and Michigan, Yeaagh!" It remains unknown why Dean didn't arrive at those locations last year as he earlier promised.

Doctor Fakes Insanity to Avoid Military
OSLO, Norway - A Norwegian doctor called in for military service would have made the malingering Cpl. Klinger of "M A S H" proud.
The doctor rubbed sour cream in his hair, poured sticky liqueur in his shoes, spilled beer on his clothes and sat in a closet smoking 40 cigarettes at once in a bid to convince the military that he wasn't fit mentally for service, the Fredrikstad Blad newspaper reported Thursday.
And just to be sure he looked and felt his worst, he stayed awake for two days before his physical, the newspaper said.
Worth a million words

Longtime readers know that this mouthpiece has little good to say about leftist philosophy. However, that does not breed utter hatred for all leftists. In fact, the inverse is true. There are some liberals that we embrace as loyal opposition because they are unabashedly true to their causes and not to frivolous idiocy as recently demonstrated by Barbara Boxer and Ted Kennedy. Al Sharpton and James Carville are perhaps our favorites. Both personify the loyal opposition by consistently forwarding their left-wing positions while avoiding the hatred that has infected all but a few of their comrades. Democrats should follow their example. To make that easier, Carville has recently co-written a primer for democrats wishing to regain their status as the opposition party, and not be relegated to the hate party for the future.
"The Democrats emerged from the 2004 election defeated, but as a more than competitive party at the polls. But Democrats fell short and will continue to fall short, as they are faltering in the battle for ideas, purpose, strength, values and advocacy. With Democratic voters themselves leading the pull back from the party, it is obviously time for Democrats to take stock."
We at The Last Word suggest sensible democrats listen to Carville and exorcise the fringe militant-left from your party. They gain you very little and instantly alienate centrists. |

Desperate for bad news from Iraq
THE OBVIOUS success of Iraq’s election on Sunday has produced a humorous byproduct. It has elicited from the anti-war Left numerous absurd attempts to portray this victory as a defeat.

The "looming Iraqi election fiasco"
AND so the "looming Iraqi election fiasco" joins "the brutal Afghan winter" and "the brutal Iraqi summer" and "the seething Arab street" and all the other junk in the overflowing trash can of post-9/11 Western media fictions. The sight of millions of brave voters emerging from polling stations holding high their purple dye-stained fingers was so inspiring that, from America's Democratic Party to European protest rallies, opponents of the war waited, oh, all of three minutes before flipping the Iraqis their own fingers, undyed.

Terrorists capture GI Joe!
After strapping a sucicide bomb vest on a retarded boy in an attempt to disrupt sunday's election, iraqi terrorists have reached a new low by kidnapping a GI Joe doll. Initially, the terrorists were targetting Barbie, but fled in fear when it was discovered that american dolls have breasts, which scare the hell out of muslims. The Terrorist group was quoted:
“Our mujahedeen heroes of Iraq’s Jihadi Battalion were able to capture American military doll GI Joe after killing a Ken doll and escaping Barbie's firm milky-white breasts,” said the statement, signed by the “Mujahedeen Brigades.”

At the Oscars...
Michael Moore and his leftist flick "f911" have been left out of the oscars this year. That isnt surprising as pigs dont usually win oscars, not even talented ones like Babe.
